Our Glorious Beginning
Mr. Hoonseinbhoy Laljee and several persons formed the DarulâUloom Trust in 1920 in order to build a school on the model of Harrow & Eton. The DarulâUloom Muslim High School, started in 1920 in Panchgani , in the Bungalow of the Nawab of Wai with only 30 students on its roll.
The trust bought an estate of over 168 acres on the PanchganiâMahabaleshwar road& the school was shifted there in 1922. In May 1958, The DarulUloom trust was transferred to The AnjumanâI-Islam Trust, Bombay.
A registered oragansation that manages a number of charities, orphanages and charitable institutions. During the Presidentship of legal luminary, late Mr. Akbar Peerbhoy and his noble wife, Mrs. HomaiPeerbhoy, adopted the school and nurtured the Institution into a premier seat of learning for boys & girls from the world over.
At AnjumanâIâIslam’s Public school, we aim to promote overall personalities, all talent and interests, to inculcatemutual trust. Academics is vitally important to this school and we expect our students to reach for high grades, However, Our school’s view of education celebrates the Creative , Physical, Spiritual as well as the intellectual qualities; above all, we want our students to leave school with a lot of values, want them to believe that they can indeed make a positive difference in the society and do extremely well as the global citizens.

Affiliation
The school is affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education, Pune, Maharashtra and prepares its pupils from Kindergarten to the Secondary School Examination (SSC) X & Higher Secondary Examination (HSC)Â XII and follows the Syllabus laid down by the Government of Maharashtra. The School is also a member or the Indian Public Schools Conference.
